The Lookout Point is a proposed development of 6 dwellings, 3 town houses and 3 detached houses. The site has a significant gradient and a number of substantial buildings adjacent, making it something of a challenge architecturally.Following their brief Wilde Architects produced three alternative schemes and once the preferred scheme had been chosen they very quickly produced several visualisation models which proved extremely helpful in view of the gradient and context of this development. Modelling at this early stage is often not provided and with a difficult site such as this can be vital in obtaining the correct interaction between buildings. The scheme has been worked up to planning stage and we await a decision in due course. In the meantime Wilde Architects have worked closely with us to deliver a design which fits our requirements and we look forward to working with them on the next stages.
Andy listened carefully to our brief and took the time to understand how we wanted to use the space. The end result is incredible! An open plan kitchen / dining room / snug which works exactly as we had imagined. We are about to embark on phase 2 of our extension (addition of a play room, bedroom and bathroom) and we know Andy will do a brilliant job!
We have been working with Andy Wilde over the past few months regarding a site we have been developing and have found him to be extremely professional. He has been easy to contact and helpful with regards to advice and ideas. His speed and turn round of work is excellent and the use of drones was of enormous benefit. He has been inspiring and encouraging and we look forward to working with him on other new developments that we have planned.
Andy was recommended by a friend and we can say our dealings and experience to date have been excellent. After our initial meeting, Andy came up with 3 creative concept designs of varying styles for our single storey extension all of which meet our brief. We had a meeting to discuss the options and could see the designs in 3D which was great as we could see the impact of the sun, views to the garden for each design, etc. We were then able to agree our preferred option taking a couple of ideas from the other two designs to come up with a final design. At the outset Andy provided a clear and detailed letter showing what would be covered and the cost of each stage of the process. He also responded quickly to emails giving clear timescales of when to expect information. We would definitely recommend Andy as not only an architect who works well with a client to understand their requirements and come up with creative ideas with clear timescales and costings but he also has a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to the project.Project Date: January 2017Project Price: £50,000 – £100,000
Extension and new living space (£30k)Andy's eye for design and understanding of what was important to the family has improved our home and lifestyle more than I could ever have hoped or expected.Andy was able to come up with interesting and varied options that suited our needs, tastes and budget. The process was quick and hassle free and he was able to produce a scheme that we could carry out under permitted development rather than having to go through the full planning process. The 3D modelling of current and proposed spaces was wonderful when trying to visualise what would work best and how it would be affected by other factors such as light at different times of the day.Attention to detail has created a fantastic finish including a great match to our existing (very) old bricks and ornate skirting boards. The lighting design for inside and out has provided a fabulous feel to the space.I couldnt be happier with the final result. Thank you!
